The Domes

The Domes is currently one of Auckland’s most unique spaces to hold an event – with its grand design, immersive feel and zoo soundtrack, this could be the perfect space for you to make your special event unforgettable.

The Old Elephant House 

Once home to Auckland Zoo’s elephants, the Old Elephant House is now an iconic restaurant, suitable for a variety of evening event types including wedding receptions, cocktail parties and seated dinners.

The Old Elephant House Courtyard

The Old Elephant House outdoor courtyard is the perfect setting for all sorts of events and occasions. Soak up the sunshine or close the retractable roof for shelter if required. Featuring its own private bar, this is the perfect place for a BBQ, drinks and canapés, birthday celebrations or corporate occasions. 

Te Puna Restaurant

The new restaurant and function venue will be a great indoor/outdoor space located at the heart of Auckland Zoo, overlooking our central lake and new wetlands area.

The Lion Viewing Shelter

A popular semi-outdoor venue, the Lion Viewing Shelter of Auckland Zoo will give your guests an extraordinary view of Pridelands. A rustic yet versatile space with both covered and uncovered areas, your guests will be able to watch these magnificent animals up close!

Cotton Top Tamarin Shelter

Located in the middle of lush plants and surrounded by wildlife, this venue offers a rustic covered space which is perfect for wedding ceremonies, early evening dinner parties or pre-dinner drinks.

Facilities

Auckland Zoo has two large car parks providing free off-street parking for cars, charter buses and tour coaches. Accessible car parking is available in the car park closest to the main entrance to the Zoo, for vehicles displaying a current mobility parking permit.
