The Christchurch Tram’s restored heritage tramcars offer a unique way to explore Christchurch’s inner city. Operating since 1995, these iconic electric vehicles are a familiar sight on the city streets and pass major city drawcards including Canterbury Museum and Botanic Gardens, Arts Centre, Art Gallery, The Terrace and Riverside Market, Te Pae and New Regent Street.

Our tramcars offer plenty of options for your next event with capacity from 20 to 200 people. From private tram hire for an exclusive tour of the city to a pre-dinner drinks and canape function in a unique environment to event transfers for a novel way to move guests between two venues along the tram route, there is sure to be an option to further enhance your event.
