Six beautiful light-filled venues to choose from and suitable for your group, whether small and intimate or a party of up to 200. Corporate, private and special events all managed by our experienced and passionate team.

Fabulous food from rustic platters to formal plated dinners. Perhaps an Argentinian Assado (BBQ) or bespoke picnic fare served alfresco on the Village Green from The Monaco Kitchen. A wide range of amenities are available for event guests; bicycles (and access to bike tracks), private pool, gymnasium, cottage gardens and green space.

THE GRAND MARQUEE

This grand old lady draped in carnival style canvas will hold up to 200 for cocktails or 180 seated guests, and spills out to its own pretty courtyard washed with dappled light.

A full bar is available, as well as internal access to the adjacent Village Hall should you need to breakout for further space. There is a professional built-in sound system.

 

THE VILLAGE GREEN

Set in the heart of the Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco and surrounded by cottage gardens.

This lush and generous space is perfect for informal meetings, corporate team building exercises, casual lunches, afternoon teas and displays. It’s also a great space to spill out to from the resort’s other venues.

THE ORANGERIE MEETING ROOM

This purpose built room is perfect for meetings, conferences and parties for up to 65 guests.

The room features lots of natural light and charming wall panelling, and has spectacular views of Waimea Inlet and the Kahurangi Mountain Range. French doors open onto a private balcony. Black out curtains are fitted if you need low light.

THE VILLAGE HALL

Purpose-built for events and conferences, this space has a rich atmosphere that can be dressed up for a party or pared back for a corporate event.

The large gas fire adds charm and warmth for an autumn or winter event. It’s a very popular space for all sorts of events, be they board meetings, larger conferences, a special dinner or a grand occasion.

EXECUTIVE COTTAGE

With a small courtyard leading out onto the front terrace of the hotel overlooking the pond, and with seating around an oak table for 8-10 people, this is the perfect location for your private meeting, job interviews or private dinner.

A full kitchen gives access to refreshments and catering. The lounge and the courtyard are ideal for breakout spaces. Two bedrooms, both with en suites, are a budget saver for event organisers staying overnight.

THE BOARDROOM

Light-filled penthouse space overlooking the cottage gardens, the Village Green and out to the bay.
The boardroom table comfortably seats up to 14 guests with a smart lounge area adjacent and a small self-service kitchenette.

TMK restaurant is a sun filled coastal restaurant with a pretty brick-walled courtyard.
The food offering is generous, humble and delicious. Choose small or large plates to share with friends and family. The fabulous Nelson regional produce and seafood is championed, and the food is expressed simply and honestly.

Stunning views across the pond to the tidal strip and the Kahurangi ranges (watch out for spectacular sunsets). Petite and beautifully formed, coved ceilings, specimen timbers, gorgeous tiled en-suite bathroom (2 with spa baths).

Laneway Suites

Huge suite comprising a bedroom, beautiful fully-tiled bathroom, open-plan dining area with timber and granite kitchen and a lounge opening out to the charming cobbled laneway.

Summerhouse Cottages

Massive, two levels of romantic, cottagey and crafted space. Each cottage has its own north-facing courtyard.

Handmade tiles, timber joinery, four poster bed, huge indulgent bathroom with double spa bath, double shower and space to breath. Solid timber kitchen, open gas fire and oodles of Victorian-inspired charm.

Terrace Houses

Perfect for a family getaway, two couples travelling together, two singles who want their own rooms or groups of four to five (with a rollaway bed for the fifth guest).

Victorian-inspired two-bedroom terraced houses with all the mod cons. Beautiful fully-tiled bathrooms, featuring either two en-suites or one large bathroom with shower and bath. Timber beams, gas fires and kitchen. The Terrace Houses all spill out to their own private courtyards with charming cottage gardens.

Garden Suites

Huge suites comprising a bedroom, beautifully-tiled bathroom, open-plan dining area with timber and granite kitchen and a lounge opening out to your own little cottage courtyard and the Village Green.

Cosy Room
