The history of New Zealand is at your fingertips with Auckland War Memorial Museum. An elegant space located just outside the Auckland CBD in the lush grounds of the Pukekawa Auckland Domain, Auckland Museum provides a spectacular venue for your next event.
Whether you’re hosting a formal dinner party, a small conference or seminar, or planning your dream wedding, you’ll find the perfect venue for your event in one of Auckland’s most iconic buildings. There are 7 exceptional and unique spaces to choose for your next event that can host from 16 to 600 guests: Te Ao Mārama South Atrium, the Auditorium, Champagne Mezzanine, Event Centre, Grand Foyer, Origins Gallery and Cheeseman Room.
Te Ao Mārama South Atrium is a light, bright modern architectural venue for larger events, sitting under a suspended tanoa (kava bowl). The Event Centre is our largest venue space settled under the copper dome of the Museum and a perfect spot for conferences and gala dinners. It’s located next to the Auditorium, our purpose-built venue for lectures and presentations. The Champagne Mezzanine is ideal for a cocktail party and the Grand Foyer, originally built in 1929, offers beauty in spades, taking particular advantage of the Museum’s neo-classic design and soaring columns. The Origins Gallery offers a venue unique to us, allowing your guests to sip on wine with dinosaurs. Our newest dinner or meeting space is also our most intimate; seating 16, this is classic art-deco heritage boardroom.
The wonders of Auckland Museum don’t end there. In addition to our choice of magnificent spaces, we also offer private after-hours gallery experiences for you and your guests. Dazzle your guests with a private stroll through the Museum, taking in our exclusive exhibits and collections. There’s also the chance to book exclusive Maori Cultural Performances, activities, and to visit The Museum Store for personalised gifts.
With Auckland Museum, you are promised a venue like none other for a night you’ll never forget.
