The Great Room

The Great Room at Cordis, Auckland is one of the largest pillarless rooms in New Zealand at 1171 square metres, and able to seat up to 860 in banquet style. This glamorous ballroom has beautiful chandeliers and is equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual facilities.

The Great Room:

  • Divides into 4 separate rooms, creating a flexible space for meetings, concurrent sessions and exhibitions
  • A private ballroom entrance creates an elegant arrival
  • 33 stunning crystal chandeliers lit with state of the art, colour changing LED lamps. These can be individually programmed allowing you to set the mood and ambience of the room.
  • A dedicated lobby and stunning pre-function area is large enough to comfortably accommodate up to 900 guests for a cocktail party
  • Party seating – up to 1,150 (cocktail)
  • Theatre seating – up to 1,150
  • Banquet seating – up to 860

Crystal Ballroom

Cordis, Auckland’s stunning Crystal Ballroom is perfect for gala dinners and social events and can easily be split into two breakout rooms (Crystal 1 and Crystal 2). It is conveniently located right beside The Great Room and makes an excellent breakout space for larger events. Crystal also has its own private foyer area, creating an excellent space for catering and registrations.

For meetings large or small, Cordis Auckland has the venues and expertise to ensure that every event is a success. The magnificent Great Room will host banquets for up to 860 guests and breaks out into 4 versatile, multi-purpose rooms. Our modern, purpose-built Gallery Rooms seat from 40 to 80 theatre-style, while our Boardroom caters for meetings of up to 12. For medium-sized events, our stunning Crystal Ballroom caters for up to 200 banquet style and breaks out into two versatile event spaces.

A dedicated Convention Services coordinator will work alongside you to deliver the perfect event from start to finish. Banquet menus are created by our team of expert chefs, and dedicated banqueting staff guarantee professional and exceptional service for your guests.
