Zealong Retreat gives residential options at estate

Just minutes north of Hamilton city, Zealong Tea Estate has added a retreat facility ideal for residential corporate meetings and incentives.

Zealong Retreat complements the estate’s contemporary event venues, which cater for a full range of business and social occasions.

“Zealong Retreat offers eight executive rooms, accommodating up to 16 guests within the one complex,” explains Lee Watkins, head of events sales and guest experiences. “The retreat offers flexibility for twin share or double occupancy including king, queen, and king-single options ideal for off-site business or family groups. It has five bathrooms, a spacious modern kitchen with full cooking facilities, two separate lounge areas, a library and conservatory, and a spacious outdoor deck offering panoramic tea estate views.

“This residential offering is ideal for any groups searching for a experiential private getaway on New Zealand’s only commercial tea estate.“

Zealong Retreat offers access to the Zealong Tea Estate, with many private spaces that can be used to enjoy activities or to simply relax.

Groups can partake in a bespoke group yoga class, or have a traditional tea tasting ceremony on the retreat deck. They can also take a tour of the tea estate and experience a signature High Tea at the beautiful Tea House.

“Bookings will be available after Labour Weekend on 26 October,” Watkins says.

Business events can be self-catered or have a personalised menu prepared by the head chef. A cooking master class can be arranged on request
