The Links Functions & Events Centre is an elegant and versatile venue offering a magnificent backdrop for your next meeting, conference, wedding, or corporate event. Situated in the clubhouse at the prestigious Christchurch Golf Club, one of New Zealand’s iconic and premier golf courses, Links is located just 10 minutes from Christchurch city centre.

This purpose-built venue is flooded with natural light and features 150 onsite car parks, the latest temperature control, lighting, AV and free Wi-Fi.

Overlooking the spectacular golf course, this modern, state of the art venue offers beautiful views from every room through floor to ceiling windows. Covered verandas off the function rooms make for idyllic breakout spaces to sit and soak up the views.

Facilities

Offering exceptional amenities in an unrivalled natural setting, all supported by a high standard of service from our professional and friendly team, Links Functions and Events Centre is a versatile venue for up to 200 guests. Links has an extensive onsite bar and modern catering facilities offering a superb selection of food and beverage options for up to 200 guests. In house catering is provided by our talented executive chef, ranging from corporate breakfasts, buffets, working lunches through to cocktail parties and gala dinners. Designed for private functions, corporate and conference events, Links is an elegant and versatile venue offering a striking backdrop for your wedding, conference, or corporate event.

 

The Meeting Room
The Meeting Room is the ideal room for both business and private functions. This spacious wood panelled retreat opens onto the veranda with stunning views of the golf course. Featuring floor to ceiling windows and French doors leading out to a private veranda, this space boasts an integrated overhead projector, ceiling mounted screen, blackout curtains, surround sound and individual temperature control.

 

The Dining Room

Perfect for high quality dining, this open and bright room is the perfect venue for cocktail evenings, networking events and private dinner parties. The room overlooks the 18th green and features HD TV and surround sound (which can be integrated into the AV system or used individually). The windows have both blackout and privacy curtains and the room is independently temperature controlled for ultimate guest comfort.

 

The Clubroom

Dramatic and inviting, The Clubroom is sure to make an impression for your next event. With its backlit, solid granite bar and stunning vaulted ceilings, the room features floor to ceiling windows with remote control blinds, independent temperature control and built-in modern technology. The perfect space for hosting and networking.

 

The Charles Gallery

Located upstairs, the Charles Gallery is a comfortable, beautifully furnished private space – ideal for smaller events, meetings or intimate gatherings. This prestigious room features golf memorabilia donated by Sir Bob and is equipped with an audio-visual system that can be connected to the other rooms or individually isolated.

 

 

Weddings

The park-like setting of Christchurch Golf Club offers a breath-taking backdrop for your special day. Step outside and enjoy sweeping views and dramatic sunsets from our terrace; perfect for taking memorable photos. Inside, vaulted ceilings and sliding French doors give the spaces an elegant feel, while painted wood panelling and soft lighting provide warmth and charm.

For weddings of up to 150 people banquet style or 200 cocktail style, the Links team can take care of you from the ceremony to the reception. Links offers indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony, reception and dance. The purpose-built wedding lawn overlooks and frames spectacular open views across the Christchurch Golf Club. This new outdoor space can host up to 140 guests for your wedding ceremony and is conveniently located adjacent to the main function room. The area is designed to allow a seamless transition from wedding ceremony to reception.

 

Wedding Venue Hire Includes:

  • Hire of function room from 8.30am till Midnight*
  • In-house tables and black chairs
  • Glassware, crockery and cutlery as required by the menu selections
  • Venue set up of in-house furnishings to your requirements
  • Crisp white linen tablecloths and napkins
  • Box clothed bridal table and cake table
  • Staffing as required for catering arrangements

* normal licensing till 11pm. Late license till midnight is available upon application
